Job Description
Build at Auger
Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains — the layer that finally allows disparate systems like ERP, WMS, and TMS to work together instead of against each other.
Most supply chain software surfaces problems and waits for a human to act. Auger solves them. Our AI detects disruptions, evaluates trade-offs, and executes decisions automatically — moving from signal to action in seconds, not weeks. We eliminate the Coordination Tax: the billions in capital and time lost when disconnected systems force the best people in the business to become the Human API between planning and execution.
At Auger, we design autonomy into our systems. We expect the same from our people.
That means:
If you want to build, ship, and iterate against reality, Auger is for you.
Auger was founded by Dave Clark and is backed by $150M from Oak HC/FT and Eclipse Capital. Headquarters in Dallas, TX and Bellevue, Washington.
About the Team & Role
Auger is building the operating system for supply chain. The models can be right, the decisions can be sound, but none of it matters if the experience that delivers them feels slow, cluttered, or untrustworthy. This role owns that experience: the point where Auger's intelligence becomes something an operator actually uses, every day, without thinking twice about it.
You'll shape technical direction, not just execute against a spec. You'll hold the bar on speed, polish, and reliability from the first line of code, and you'll build the design system that lets the whole product move faster as it grows.
What You’ll Do
What You Bring
Compensation & Benefits
As part of our commitment to People Powered Greatness, we invest in our team members with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits to support your health, financial future, and daily life. The package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and commuter benefits. Total compensation may include a combination of a competitive base salary and equity. Your initial placement within our salary range will be based on your experience, qualifications.
The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $225,000 per year.
Auger considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. Additionally, our privacy policy is available at https://auger.com/privacy-notice/.

About the Team & Role

The models can be right, the decisions can be sound, but none of it matters if the experience that delivers them feels slow, cluttered, or untrustworthy. This role owns that experience: the point where Auger's intelligence becomes something an operator actually uses, every day, without thinking twice about it.
You'll shape technical direction, not just execute against a spec. You'll hold the bar on speed, polish, and reliability from the first line of code, and you'll build the design system that lets the whole product move faster as it grows.
What You’ll Do
- Define the technical vision and direction for Auger's product suite and individual features.
- Design, develop, and deliver features that customers interact with directly.
- Hold a high standard for the product's look and feel, treating speed, responsiveness, and reliability as core priorities from the start, not problems to fix later; champion UX and design thinking from the earliest stages of every feature.
- Create and continuously refine a unified design system, including shared components, patterns, and design tokens, that keeps visual and interaction design consistent across products while speeding up how quickly new features ship.
- Partner closely with product managers to understand what users need, define what a feature should cover, and weigh tradeoffs thoughtfully throughout the build.
- Move fast by refining the experience continuously, drawing on real user feedback and internal testing.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
- 4+ years of professional front-end engineering experience.
- Proficiency with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience building production front-end systems with a high bar for craft, performance, and reliability.
- Proven ability to lead and execute multiple concurrent initiatives.
- A track record of owning features end to end, from technical design through shipped product.
- Experience building or contributing to a design system: shared components, patterns, and tokens that scale across a growing product surface.
- Strong product instincts. You partner naturally with PMs and can weigh tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality.
- A bias toward iteration. You ship, gather real feedback, and refine quickly rather than over-polishing before anyone's used it.
- Comfort operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where the product is still being defined.
