Senior Network Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Network Engineer based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced network engineering professional to help design, secure, and modernize enterprise network infrastructure in a highly distributed environment. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and secure networking solutions across corporate offices, cloud platforms, and remote users. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and enterprise application teams, you will lead critical modernization initiatives while ensuring high network availability and performance. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking technologies, mentor fellow engineers, and contribute to a resilient IT environment that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Accountabilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and internet connectivity solutions.
  • Administer and support Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, and firewalls.
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, and scalability across enterprise network environments.
  • Implement secure networking practices, including network segmentation, access control lists (ACLs), firewall policies, and secure remote access.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities, strengthen network security, and support compliance initiatives.
  • Support Azure networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, VPNs, and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Lead network modernization projects, infrastructure upgrades, and technology implementations while coordinating with vendors and managed service providers.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network standards, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise to strengthen team capabilities.
Requirements
  • 8–12 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco routing, switching, wireless networking, VPN technologies, and firewalls.
  • Experience supporting Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and enterprise network security principles.
  • Experience using enterprise network monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft GCC or GCC High networking environments is preferred.
  • Experience working with Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is preferred.
  • Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Azure Network Engineer certification are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to lead technical initiatives.
