As a Claims Advisor, P&C Insurance, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end claims processes while providing expert guidance and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Investigating and assessing complex property insurance claims, including evaluating damages, repair costs, market values, and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing medical, financial, and employment information to determine eligibility for accident benefits and bodily injury claims according to applicable criteria.
- Analyzing claim information and making sound decisions regarding approvals, settlements, and required actions.
- Negotiating claim resolutions with clients, third parties, and other involved parties to ensure efficient and fair outcomes.
- Managing claims according to policies, contractual requirements, quality standards, and service commitments.
- Meeting deadlines and service expectations to support client satisfaction and operational performance.
- Providing advice and assistance to clients throughout the claims process while representing organizational values and commitments.
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate reports, documentation, and claim records.
- Applying strong judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve complex situations and identify appropriate solutions.
The ideal candidate brings experience in property and casualty insurance claims, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills. Required qualifications and competencies include:
- College diploma in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in insurance claims or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance processes, policies, and claims management practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate information, evaluate risks, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple claims efficiently.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering positive client experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn continuously, and manage changing priorities.
- French language proficiency is required.
- Experience handling complex claims and knowledge of accident benefits or bodily injury claims is an asset.
