Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead Agile transformation and delivery excellence within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will guide multiple engineering teams, strengthen Agile practices, and improve delivery predictability across the organization.
The position combines hands-on Scrum leadership with strategic program management, coaching, and operational improvement.
You will serve as a key connection point between Product and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment between business goals and execution.
By building trusted metrics frameworks and quality practices, you will help teams continuously improve performance and collaboration.
This remote role is ideal for an experienced Agile leader who enjoys coaching teams, solving complex delivery challenges, and driving meaningful organizational impact.

Accountabilities:

The Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager will establish Agile standards, improve engineering delivery practices, and provide leadership across multiple teams while maintaining strong alignment between business priorities and technical execution.

  • Lead Agile program practices across multiple engineering teams by defining and maintaining consistent Scrum ceremonies, workflows, delivery standards, and escalation processes.
  • Coach and support Scrum Masters across the organization, helping improve facilitation skills, Agile maturity, and team effectiveness.
  • Act as Scrum Master for assigned teams, managing ceremonies, backlog health, sprint execution, and removal of delivery obstacles.
  • Own and evolve an Agile Development Metrics & Quality Accountability Framework using Jira and GitHub data to provide reliable delivery and quality insights.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards tracking delivery performance, sprint predictability, cycle time, throughput, work in progress, quality trends, and defect management.
  • Establish practices for code review quality, defect tracking, accountability reporting, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
  • Partner with Product Management and Product Owners to translate strategic roadmaps into actionable Agile execution plans.
  • Facilitate scaled Agile activities, including cross-team coordination, dependency management, planning sessions, and delivery health reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage AI-assisted engineering tools, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Communicate delivery risks, quality trends, and improvement opportunities clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Agile professional with strong technical understanding, leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to improve software delivery processes in complex environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar role within a software development environment.
  • Experience coaching Scrum Masters or leading Agile practices across multiple concurrent teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, or similar scaled delivery methodologies.
  • Experience serving as a bridge between Product Management, Product Owners, and Engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience administering Jira, including workflows, sprint configuration, boards, and Agile reporting.
  • Familiarity with GitHub pull request workflows, branch protection practices, and Jira-GitHub integrations.
  • Experience designing and implementing delivery metrics, quality measurement frameworks, and stakeholder reporting solutions.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and modern software delivery workflows.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent is preferred; SAFe certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as eazyBI or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in regulated industries with compliance requirements such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS, or similar standards is a plus.
