Lead Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer based in Brazil.

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer to drive the evolution of large-scale cloud infrastructure and platform engineering practices.
This role focuses on designing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments while establishing best practices across DevOps, automation, and governance.
You will act as a technical leader, influencing architecture decisions and enabling engineering teams to build high-performing solutions.
The position offers the opportunity to modernize cloud platforms, improve operational excellence, and shape infrastructure strategies in a global environment.
You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, and technology teams to deliver innovative cloud capabilities.
As a technical reference, you will mentor engineers and promote a culture of automation, security, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the technical evolution of global cloud infrastructure platforms, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability.
  • Define and implement standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, security, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a technical reference for Platform Engineering teams, providing guidance on architecture and engineering practices.
  • Support architectural decisions related to cloud scalability, resilience, governance, and platform strategy.
  • Drive cloud infrastructure modernization initiatives, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to evolve platform capabilities and technology strategies.
  • Establish DevOps best practices and promote automation across development and operations workflows.
  • Mentor engineers, encourage knowledge sharing, and help teams adopt effective Cloud and DevOps methodologies.
  • Contribute to improving cloud governance, security standards, and infrastructure efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading large-scale cloud infrastructure projects and platform engineering initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • Solid experience defining DevOps standards, automation strategies, and engineering practices.
  • Experience influencing technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, including RBAC, networking, auditing, compliance, and governance.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English within a global technology environment.
  • Experience with Databricks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices and Azure cost optimization is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud migration projects or legacy platform modernization is a plus.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Engineer are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Unity Catalog and Databricks integrations is a plus.
