Job Description
About GondolaBio
GondolaBio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing breakthrough therapeutics for genetic diseases. GondolaBio is an independent sister company to BridgeBio, originally carved out in 2024 after securing $300M in private financing from external investors. GondolaBio aims to leverage cutting-edge biological research to discover, create, test, and deliver transformative medicines to treat patients who suffer from genetic diseases.
The Role
GondolaBio is seeking a Director of Talent to partner closely with the President and leadership team on attracting exceptional talent and building a high-performing, patient-centric organization. Recruiting will be the anchor of the role, with a broader mandate to serve as a practical thought partner on organization design, team effectiveness, and culture. This is a hands-on, high-judgment role for someone who can move fluidly between search execution, sensitive people problem-solving, and consulting-style projects. The emphasis is on talent and organization building rather than traditional HR administration or policy ownership.
What You'll Do
Recruiting & Talent Strategy: Lead key searches end to end, from workforce planning and role definition through talent mapping, assessment, offer development, and closing. Build a strong understanding of the talent market and help GondolaBio attract exceptional leaders and operators, particularly across clinical development and other critical capabilities.
Organization & Leadership Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor on organization design and team effectiveness. Help leaders work through team issues with sound judgment, discretion, and a pragmatic bias toward action.
Compensation & Talent Insights: Develop market-informed perspectives on compensation, leveling, offers, and retention.
Culture, Talent Programs to enable growth and scale: Translate GondolaBio's desired culture into practical mechanisms. Lead high-priority projects that are centered around talent, bringing structure, analysis, and follow-through to ambiguous organizational and business questions.

- Comfortable analyzing compensation and organizational questions and translating imperfect data into practical recommendations
- A discreet, trusted partner who can navigate sensitive issues and influence leaders at all levels
- Must be motivated by delivering life changing medicine to patients
- Two to Five years recruiting senior executives
- Experience with life sciences strongly preferred
