Job Summary:

The Habilitation Assistant-DSP at Echoing Hills provides vocational, habilitation, and work/skill training to individuals with developmental disabilities (DD). This role is essential in enhancing self-help, social, and adaptive skills, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe, healthy environment through a person-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive environment, empowering individuals to build relationships and achieve their goals.
  • Provide vocational, habilitation, and work/skill training in various areas.
  • Deliver active treatment and document skill development per individual service plans (ISP).
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation of activities and individual progress.
  • Assist with quality personal hygiene care and lunchtime support.
  • Administer medications if certified and provide nursing care as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Assist with compliance, regulatory audits, and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including supporting fundraisers and emergency operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the DD field preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to work professionally and compassionately with IDD individuals.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrated Christian background and commitment to the Ministry's mission.
