The Data Operations Team Lead will oversee daily data management activities while driving operational excellence, governance standards, and team performance. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical capability, and strong collaboration across teams.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analyst-level professionals by setting priorities, supporting growth, and ensuring delivery against operational goals.
- Manage core data operations processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and reliability across systems and workflows.
- Establish and enhance data governance practices, including data standards, definitions, quality controls, stewardship, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Partner with business, technical, and operational teams to identify data gaps, improve processes, and enhance data usability.
- Work hands-on with data platforms and systems, including Databricks, Salesforce, and SQL environments, to support analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Monitor data quality metrics, operational performance, and root causes to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
- Translate business needs into operational data requirements and collaborate with technical teams to implement effective solutions.
- Ensure data practices align with privacy, compliance, security, and governance expectations.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures, process documentation, and governance materials to support scalability.
- Act as an escalation point for complex data issues and coordinate resolution across relevant stakeholders.
- Support adoption of new tools, processes, and governance standards through effective change management.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data operations, governance, and team leadership, with the ability to combine technical knowledge and business understanding in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of experience in data operations, data management, data governance, business operations, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing analyst-level team members.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, documentation, controls, standardization, and stewardship.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Salesforce, and SQL-based environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Experience collaborating across business and technical teams to improve processes and operational outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, CRM processes, reporting environments, or operational analytics is preferred.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, automation, workflow optimization, dashboards, and KPI development is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
