This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Architect – Cloud Platform based in the United States.
This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions built on modern Azure technologies. You will act as a trusted architect and delivery leader, guiding clients through cloud transformation journeys while ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and operational reliability. The position blends hands-on architecture with consulting leadership, requiring close collaboration with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and client executives. You will play a key role in shaping solution design, driving delivery standards, and enabling successful cloud adoption across infrastructure, networking, security, and automation domains. In this highly visible role, you will also mentor technical teams, influence delivery strategy, and help define best practices across multiple engagements. - Lead architecture and technical delivery for complex, multi-workstream cloud engagements across enterprise clients.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Azure-based cloud solutions.
- Act as technical lead and subject matter expert across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and migration initiatives.
- Design and implement cloud architectures using Azure services such as networking, compute, storage, security, monitoring, and identity.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using tools such as Bicep and Terraform to enable repeatable and scalable deployments.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery execution, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, forecasting, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across platforms and workloads.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical leadership to engineers and consultants across engagements.
- Engage with clients as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
- Support pre-sales and solutioning activities by contributing architectural expertise and technical strategy.
- Identify delivery risks, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure high-quality outcomes across engagements.
- Promote engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
- Strong experience leading cloud architecture and delivery across multiple enterprise client engagements.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including networking, security, compute, storage, identity, and monitoring services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Sentinel, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Virtual Desktop, and related technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform.
- Proven ability to design scalable cloud infrastructure and lead end-to-end implementation efforts.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance analysis, and root-cause resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and emerging cloud technologies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within distributed virtual teams.
- AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect certification required.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to mentor and guide technical teams in fast-paced delivery environments.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $136,300 to $204,500 USD, plus bonus eligibility.
