Project Associate – MEP Engineer

Position Overview
We’re looking for a Project Associate – MEP Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll support restoration and building systems projects while developing hands-on experience in field inspections, technical analysis, and construction documentation. You’ll work closely with project leaders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across complex projects.
What You’ll Do
- Support MEP and building restoration projects across all phases under supervision
- Assist with site inspections, field measurements, and condition assessments (including elevated and confined spaces)
- Prepare and update technical documents: drawings, reports, specifications, and field notes
- Create and modify AutoCAD drawings and sketches
- Participate in client, contractor, and consultant meetings
- Track project documentation, photos, and records
- Help monitor construction progress and identify issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (or related field)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
Preferred:
- Exposure to building systems, construction, or façade/restoration work
- Familiarity with NYC building codes or inspections
- OSHA certifications or willingness to obtain scaffold safety certifications
Work Environment & Schedule
- This position is based in New York City, with a hybrid schedule.
- Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
- Travel within NYC required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
