Youth Flag Football Coordinator
The Youth Flag Football Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, promotion, and execution of youth flag football leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, and special events at the Fredericksburg Field House. This individual will work closely with the Sports Director to provide a positive, safe, and engaging experience for athletes, parents, coaches, and spectators while supporting the growth and success of youth football programming.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all aspects of youth flag football leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments.
Assist with program scheduling, team formation, and league administration.
Recruit, train, and supervise coaches, referees, and game-day staff.
Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, parents, coaches, and volunteers.
Ensure all programs operate in accordance with facility policies and safety standards.
Monitor game-day operations, including setup, scorekeeping, scheduling, and customer service.
Address participant concerns and resolve conflicts professionally and promptly.
Assist with registration management and participant communication.
Support marketing and promotional efforts to increase participation and retention.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and program evaluations.
Collaborate with the Sports Director to develop new football programs and community partnerships.
Ensure equipment is maintained, inventoried, and properly stored.
Assist with special events and facility-wide initiatives as assigned.
Previous experience coordinating youth sports programs, preferably football or flag football.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of youth sports development and league operations.
Experience supervising staff, coaches, or volunteers preferred.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required.
