Remote | Full-Time, Exempt

The Opportunity

The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) seeks a strategic, relationship-driven President to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.

RH-ISAC is the trusted cybersecurity community for retail, hospitality, and other consumer-facing organizations. Its members include leading retailers, restaurants, hotels, gaming organizations, travel companies, food retailers, and consumer products companies. RH-ISAC connects information security teams at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels to exchange intelligence, address emerging threats, share leading practices, and build stronger, more resilient organizations.

The next President will inherit a highly respected organization, an engaged member community, a talented team, and a collaborative, high-trust culture. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this executive will build upon RH-ISAC’s strong foundation while bringing strategic vision, innovation, operational discipline, and a willingness to take thoughtful, calculated risks.

Key opportunities include expanding membership and international reach, strengthening member engagement and value, advancing RH-ISAC’s intelligence-sharing capabilities, and helping the organization and its members navigate the increasing impact of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Growth, and Member Value

  • Partner with the Board and leadership team to establish and execute RH-ISAC’s strategic direction and three-year roadmap.
  • Drive sustainable membership growth, engagement, retention, and international expansion.
  • Advance the organization’s intelligence-sharing capabilities, educational offerings, research, communications, and brand visibility.
  • Anticipate emerging cybersecurity and technology trends and translate them into relevant strategies and services.
  • Serve as a visible, accessible, and credible ambassador for RH-ISAC and its mission.

Board, Team, and Culture Leadership

  • Build a transparent, productive, and trusted relationship with the Board of Directors.
  • Keep the Board informed of organizational performance, strategic progress, finances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead and develop a talented team while preserving RH-ISAC’s collaborative, high-accountability, and high-trust culture.
  • Establish clear priorities, expectations, and performance measures while empowering staff to lead within their areas of expertise.
  • Model humility, authenticity, transparency, sound judgment, and respect.

Financial and Organizational Stewardship

  • Ensure RH-ISAC’s long-term financial strength, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the annual budget, financial reporting, organizational policies, talent practices, and succession planning.
  • Align staffing, resources, and investments with the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Cultivate productive relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, trade associations, service providers, and other strategic partners.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be an accomplished executive who combines strategic vision with strong operational leadership and a genuine passion for serving members. This individual will understand that RH-ISAC’s success is built on trust and will take time to listen, learn, and understand the organization before implementing significant change.

Competitive candidates will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience within a membership association, non-profit, cybersecurity or technology organization, professional network, or similarly complex environment.
  • A record of driving membership growth, business development, revenue diversification, partnerships, or market expansion.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans that produced measurable results.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working effectively with a governing Board.
  • Strong financial, operational, and organizational management capabilities.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience engaging members, clients, partners, vendors, government agencies, and other influential stakeholders.
  • Cybersecurity, information security, intelligence-sharing, or related industry experience is highly desirable.
  • International growth or global market experience is a plus.

Leadership Profile

RH-ISAC seeks a leader who is:

  • Strategic, innovative, and forward-looking.
  • Authentic, transparent, and grounded in integrity.
  • An attentive listener who builds credibility and trust.
  • Collaborative while remaining decisive and accountable.
  • Comfortable balancing executive leadership with hands-on engagement.
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
  • Passionate about member service and RH-ISAC’s mission.

First-Year Priorities

During the first year, the President will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate meaningful progress against the strategic roadmap.
  • Strengthen member engagement, value delivery, and organizational visibility.
  • Assess opportunities for sustainable growth, international expansion, and innovation.
  • Success will be reflected in an engaged staff, increased member value and participation, measurable strategic progress, and continued confidence from the Board and membership.
