Job Description

Pediatric SLPA – starting $24/hour + Sign-On Bonus + Relocation Help | Talk Kids AND Boats With Us in Lake Havasu City

Work Here. Play Here. Stay Here. #HavasuLife

Picture this: a kiddo finally nails a sound they’ve been working on for weeks. You close your laptop, and twenty minutes later you’re on the lake watching the sun sink behind London Bridge. That’s not a daydream. That’s a normal Tuesday at Milemarkers.

We’re looking for a Pediatric SLPA who wants meaningful, hands-on clinical work all day, and a life worth clocking out for. Here you get 300+ days of sunshine, a lake that’s basically your backyard pool, a tight-knit community, and zero traffic-induced rage. Havasu life is real, and it’s spectacular.

Moving here? We’ll help you get here.

  • Sign-on bonus, paid in three installments; 90 days, 6 months, 1 year
  • Relocation assistance to get you and your stuff to the lake
  • A welcome buddy for your first 90 days, plus our insider guide to Havasu (best launch ramps, hiking trails, taco spots, and where locals watch the sunset)

About the Role
At Milemarkers Therapy, our SLPAs are where the magic of communication happens, session by session and word by word. You’ll work alongside supervising SLPs to deliver treatment that helps children find their voices, build language, and connect with the people they love.

We’re not just a clinic, we’re a TRIBE Bring your curiosity, your compassion, and your love of language. There’s a place for you here (and a kayak with your name on it).

Why SLPAs Stay

  • Paid documentation time. Notes get done on the clock, not at your kitchen table after dinner.
  • Extra hands from our therapy techs. Our techs back you up so you can spend your energy on your kiddos.
  • A true interdisciplinary team. You’ll work right alongside our OTs, PTs, and SLPs, so you’re never problem-solving alone.
  • Real supervision and mentorship. Supervising SLPs who teach, not just sign off.
  • Room to grow. Tuition reimbursement and professional development support for SLPAs who want to grow their careers, including going on to become SLPs.
  • Flexibility. Flexible scheduling, with in-person and teletherapy sessions as authorized.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Work

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under your supervising SLP, targeting communication, language, articulation, fluency, and/or AAC goals
  • Coach families with home programming so progress carries into daily life
  • Deliver individual and group therapy, in person and via teletherapy, as authorized
  • Collaborate with your therapy team, Team Lead, and Therapy Manager on treatment updates and clinical problem-solving
  • Keep your supervising SLP and the interdisciplinary team in the loop on session observations, progress, and family concerns

Documentation & Compliance

  • Timely, measurable, HIPAA-tight documentation (notes, discharge summaries, progress reports, LMNs)
  • Stay organized so nothing falls through the cracks

Being Part of the Tribe

  • Show up for team meetings, check-ins, and company events
  • Help keep shared spaces and equipment clean and cared for

Who You Are

  • Genuinely excited by the moment a child finds a new word, sound, or way to communicate
  • Patient, warm, and great at building rapport with young children and their families
  • A proactive communicator who keeps your supervising SLP fully informed after every session
  • Organized, dependable, and thorough in sessions, documentation, and follow-through
  • Curious and always looking to deepen your clinical skills

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Arizona SLPA Registration or License
  • Valid driver’s license with no DUI or suspension history
  • Ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable with electronic documentation and billing platforms

Preferred

  • Pediatric or outpatient speech-language therapy experience
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and communication systems
  • Experience with children with developmental, language, or communication disorders

What We Offer: Because Havasu Life Should Come With Great Benefits Too

  • Sign-on bonus (paid out over your first year) and relocation assistance

  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development assistance
