Job Description
Everleap Fertility has a need for a Full-time Clinical Assistant for our Morristown, NJ clinic. We are looking for someone who can work Monday-Friday from 6am-2pm with rotating on call weekends and holidays in Basking Ridge.
The Clinical Assistant will promote and restore patients’ health by assisting in the nursing process and supporting physicians and other multidisciplinary team members with hands-on patient care. You will help to create a positive experience for our patients and ensure that patients receive high-quality service by assisting clinical team with patient care. You will also get the opportunity to be trained in phlebotomy.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:- Assist Physicians with clinical procedures
- Follow proper protocols for all procedures
- Practice phlebotomy
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.
- Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
- Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
- Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
- Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to provider team for review.
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.
- Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant
- Phlebotomy Program – preferred
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: Phlebotomy Program
- 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
- Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
- EMR experience - preferred
