Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer based in Canada.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and operational readiness of advanced aircraft used in high-performance training missions. You will join a specialized maintenance environment where precision, accountability, and technical excellence are essential every day. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute directly to mission success by maintaining aircraft to the highest regulatory and safety standards. The position involves hands-on troubleshooting, inspections, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aviation setting. You will also support training and knowledge transfer within the maintenance team while ensuring compliance with strict aviation requirements. This is a highly dynamic role suited to professionals who thrive under pressure and take pride in delivering reliable, safe aircraft operations.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring aircraft remain fully airworthy, compliant, and ready for deployment at all times. You will perform maintenance activities, inspections, and documentation in alignment with regulatory and company standards while supporting safe and efficient operations.

  • Ensure aircraft and components are maintained in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, manufacturer standards, and internal procedures
  • Inspect, certify, and manage replacement parts, ensuring proper eligibility, tagging, and quarantine processes
  • Complete and validate maintenance records, including signing off work performed and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Conduct independent checks, receiving inspections, and other authorized verification activities
  • Support troubleshooting, defect resolution, and complex maintenance tasks in line maintenance environments
  • Assist in on-the-job training and knowledge sharing with other maintenance personnel
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures
Requirements:

You bring strong technical aircraft maintenance expertise, supported by regulatory licensing and hands-on experience in commercial or military aviation environments. You are comfortable working independently, solving complex technical problems, and operating in high-pressure situations.

  • Valid Transport Canada AME (M2) license is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience working on commercial or military aircraft, preferably in line maintenance operations
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance procedures, and safety standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and apply sound judgment
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills in English (German considered an asset)
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong professionalism, accountability, and adaptability
