Overview
The Electric Boat Design community is responsible for developing qualified candidates to produce 3D models and documents to support maintenance and construction of various classes of submarines. As a Quality Assurance Representative on our team, you will have a critical role in ensuring all products produced by our team meet or exceed established processes and standards set. You will find yourself in a fast-paced and collaborative environment while striving to improve first time quality, user understanding of tools/process, and increase individual accountability by ensuring oversight/feedback is timely.

Responsibilities of this position will include:
- Develop/maintain annual Technical Product Quality (TPQ) Implementation and Audit plan, and ensure that methods are in place to capture and monitor quality of products
- Develop Quarterly and Monthly reports to cover status of department quality, and maintain these in a database for Objective Quality Evidence (OQE)
- Develop presentations to communicate TPQ Analysis and metrics
- Hold/attend regular meetings with all levels of management on all programs/platforms to report status of department TPQ
- Help to determine effectiveness of metrics, identify potential root causes, and implement necessary corrective actions through one-on-one interaction with 30 – 40 supervisors
- Ensure appropriate/comprehensive checking requirements are in place to ensure proper OQE is obtained
- Identify systemic quality gaps proactively, and work with leadership and design teams to correct any adverse trends
- Ensure processes and Stage/Gate criteria are being completed regularly and accurately
- Assist gathering/implementing Directorate Internal Assessment
- Work with cross-discipline teams to implement common quality assurance standards and conduct audits based on the standards set forth
- Ensure products meet or exceeds customer expectations

- Ability to troubleshoot technical and procedural problems to identify root cause
- Exceptional skills in communication, leadership, negotiation, critical thinking, and change management.
- Ability to manage projects in a collaborative environment while effectively deploying corrective actions
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, with the ability to read, understand and retain technical documentation
- High-level Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Access
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience directly working or in support of Design, Engineering, and/or Construction actives at Electric Boat
Preferred:
- Experience with Teamcenter/NX
- Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification
- Knowledge of quality management systems
- Experience with quality assurance, statistical analysts, and process mapping
- Experience with developing and maintaining a plans of action and milestones
- Previous experience working with technical documentation
