About the role
The Area Manager – Southwest (Arizona) reports to and works closely with the Regional Manager to support HHRD’s fundraising, community outreach, and In-Kind initiatives throughout the Southwest region. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns, community engagement efforts, donor stewardship, and regional events to help achieve annual fundraising goals.
The Area Manager builds and maintains relationships with donors, masajid, foundations, corporations, community organizations, and volunteers while promoting HHRD’s mission and programs. The role also recruits and develops volunteers, represents HHRD through public speaking engagements, including Jummah khutbahs, fundraising appeals, school presentations, meetings, and community events, and helps increase public awareness and support for HHRD’s humanitarian work. Working alongside the Regional Manager and national fundraising team, the Area Manager provides leadership and coordination to strengthen HHRD’s impact across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving annual fundraising targets for the Region
- Public speaking, e.g. fundraising appeals, presentations, etc.
- Plan and Coordinate major fundraisers/banquets within Region, including but not limited to, Annual Banquets, Ramadan Iftars and other seasonal events
- Maintain stewardship of donors within Region
- Manage and oversee regional team’s outreach efforts year round
- Plan and execute annual fundraising campaign in coordination with regional team
- Ensure volunteers are regularly engaged and recruited
- Establish and maintain relationships with key donors, Masajid, organizations, and supporters within the region
- Regularly use CRM to monitor donation activities as well as record and analyze donor engagement
- Lead regional team in all efforts while assigning each team member tasks and goals and supervising their progress
- Representing HHRD in leadership meetings, sponsored events, and programs that promote our organization throughout the region
- Additional duties may be assigned by Zonal Managers
Qualifications
- Must have critical thinking, strong communication, and management of confidential information.
- Must be able to work in a busy, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment with a very dedicated team.
- Must be able to travel extensively as needed within the region with occasional travels outside the regions for meetings and conferences.
- Must be able to work onsite at least three times a week at the local office to effectively support community engagement efforts. This includes assisting with the collection of donations and supplies for the In-Kind program, fostering meaningful connections with local donors, and ensuring seamless operations for community-driven initiatives.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
