Job Description

Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays an essential role in our Mission by assuring effective HR talent acquisition services which enable an assigned business area (Vice President) to meet strategic and operational staffing needs. Knows and understands current talent acquisition needs for assigned areas. Understands the business area operations to anticipate future needs. Identifies and provides metrics to help manage the talent acquisition process for the areas served and provides coaching / support / training for leaders to develop and continuously improve the acquisition process in the areas served. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship / partnership with the VP, the Business Partner, and HR Operations. Working in close collaboration with the shared services HR Operations team, manages the entire life cycle recruiting process of attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring/placing employees within Ellis.

As the need and opportunity permit, may support various talent acquisition, development and management projects and other HR initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of four years of full cycle recruiting or related HR functions, including professional positions.
  • Prior experience in a staffing agency recruiting setting and experience with direct recruiting and cold calling is desirable.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Understands sourcing and recruiting tools and methods, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, networking events, referrals etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for working with recruiting software platforms, online sourcing tools and social media.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to establish strong working relationships with all other stakeholders, be self-motivating, an initiator, and a creative thinker.
  • This is an onsite position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Should be able to push/pull, lift/move 15 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period of time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Builds / maintains effective relationship with VP and leaders in assigned area(s).
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with HR Operations talent acquisition staff.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with HR Operations center of excellence staff, e.g., Compensation, Benefits, OD.
  • Knows and understands current talent acquisition needs for assigned areas.
  • Understands the business area from an operations perspective and is able to anticipate staffing future needs.
  • Identifies and provides metrics to help manage the talent acquisition process for the areas served.
  • Provides coaching / support / training for leaders to develop and continuously improve the acquisition process in the areas served.
  • Working in close collaboration with the HR Operations team, manages the entire lifecycle recruiting process of attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring/placing employees within Ellis.
  • Meets with hiring manager, understands the need for and importance of the position
  • reviews internal and external sourcing tools and establishes service-level agreements with hiring managers to include:
    • target date when managers can expect to see candidates
    • regular communication update plans
    • realistic target date for position to be filled
  • Coordinate the sourcing of qualified candidates by implementing extensive searching, networking, and screening techniques
  • Prescreen, interview, and manage/oversee recruiting process as well as maintain a resume database of candidates for future interest
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in recruiting events and initiatives, including open houses, job fairs and career days
  • Develop workforce strategies which include internal and external research and data analysis to identify drivers around recruitment and retention strategies
  • Coordinate with HR operations staff to manage advertising and position posting
  • Conduct follow-up calls with hiring managers and new hires to assess quality improvement initiatives

Salary Range: $25.72-$38.57 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the state.
