Position Description:
Support the Quality Settlement Fund (QSF) team by applying strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage post-settlement operations for complex mass tort cases. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate data management, timely claimant payments, and clear communication with clients and internal teams. The Project Coordinator contributes to Milestone’s mission of delivering principled, client-centered legal solutions with empathy and precision.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, claimants, and internal teams.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and messaging platforms, anticipating and addressing follow-up needs.
- Prepare and manage reports to monitor payment statuses and project progress.
- Accurately compile and process payment files in collaboration with internal teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data securely.
- Coordinate project tasks, track deadlines, and ensure documentation is current.
- Deliver high-quality client-facing materials with minimal revisions.
- Identify and escalate issues promptly, offering solutions when appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and remove bottlenecks.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and follow-through.
- Uphold Milestone’s core values through principled, empathetic, and detail-oriented work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate degree or paralegal certification preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1-2 years of experience supporting mass tort litigation, high-volume personal injury law, or legal operations preferred
- 1-2 years of experience analyzing high-volume legal, financial, or case management data within a mass tort or plaintiff law environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new legal case management systems.
- Experience with Salesforce, Asana, Power Automate, and Power BI is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience in post-settlement processes (e.g., release administration, lien resolution) is advantageous.
