Caregiver at Comfort Keepers – New Hope, Minnesota

Comfort Keepers is looking for evening/afternoon caregivers in the Golden Valley/New Hope area join our team. At Comfort Keepers, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and other adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. As a caregiver, you will be supported by a team of caring professionals who will help you deliver one-on-one care that not only meets the needs of our clients but enhances their quality of life.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, joy and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.

• Companionship – Provide companionship, activities and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.
• Personal Care and mobility assistance - Provide assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene and mobility assistance

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
