Assists in the preparation and serving of food for distribution to patients, cafeteria, and catering services. Job Responsibilities

Job Summary
Assists in the preparation and serving of food for distribution to patients, cafeteria, and catering services. Job Responsibilities
- Maintains area, equipment, and supplies in safe and orderly manner.
- Cleans and inspects dietary equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Apportions and serves food to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Assists cook and other dietary staff as needed.
- Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food, as well as the sanitation and maintenance of work area.
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred
- No experience required
- No licensure/certification/registration required
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
