AFE is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our growth trajectory by providing technical support to our customers. Prior filtration knowledge is not a requirement, but a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities in the air filtration industry is essential.
Essential Position Duties & Responsibilities:Identify and understand the needs of customers to effectively sell air filtration products or services.
Present, promote, and sell air filtration products/services to prospective customers.
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Professionally prospect and cultivate leads.
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
Provide technical support to customers.
Selling air filtration products and services throughout the greater Chicago land area.
Responsible for prospecting, quoting, and cultivating new customers to help grow our business.
Identify and establish contact with current and potential customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.
Generate and submit sales reports to management.
3+ years of sales experience is required.
Previous experience in filtration sales or selling to Engineers or Facilities Managers/Directors is a bonus.
Experience selling to Engineering or Facilities personnel is a plus.
Proven ability to work with all levels of management and foster relationships with operations personnel.
Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic about gaining technical knowledge in air filtration.
Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing excellent service.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
