Job Summary
The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes according to company and Dept of Health standards.
• Washes pots, pans and other cooking utensils and equipment
• Properly stores and removes garbage and soiled linens.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of dishwashing machine, as well as proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Aides in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the dish room as well as the entire kitchen.
• Communicates product needs to the chefs, and the support staff.
• Properly sets-up dish room and performs other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Has at least two years previous experience as a Dishwasher in a medium/high volume restaurant.
• Has conversational fluency in Spanish
• Actively contributes as a team player by supporting co-workers throughout each workday.
• Has a solid understanding of the job duties assigned to them and outlined in their job description.
• Takes appropriate actions to maintain and/or repair all BOH equipment to ensure staff safety.

Certifications Required
• Food Handling Safety certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
• Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
• Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts days, evenings, weekends and holidays
