Summary:

The Welder is responsible for conducting inspections and refurbishment of all transmission cases. The welder will additionally provide support to other areas in the facility/production areas as needed. This position must have the ability to read, follow and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. While performing the duties of this job, the welder is regularly required to stand for periods of time and must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspects and refurbishes all transmission cases, and welds appropriately.
  • Interprets, and follows manufacturer instructions to weld transmission to product specifications.
  • Ensures the highest levels of quality in work.
  • Ability and knowledge of TIG welding
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience:

HS Diploma, Technical degree, certification from rebuttal welding program preferred. Proven experience in various degrees/background in welding. Ability to change direction with minimal notice.
