Organization Description:

Liberty Bankers Insurance Group is a Dallas‐based provider of a wide range of life insurance, annuity and health (Medicare supplement and supplemental health) products used to build and preserve the financial security of our policyholders.

Position Description (Primary):

We are seeking a talented Compliance Analyst to assist our Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance and Legal Officer in several key areas. Primary responsibilities for the day‐to‐day operations for the following functional areas, including ensuring proper documentation, with escalation as necessary, for:

  • Start to finish SERFF filings (form, rate, informational, other)
  • Researching and understanding regulations and administrative standards to coordinate responses to respond to objections, revise forms, gather and complete supporting documents and overall tracking of projects;
  • Review and respond to complaints (consumer, regulatory, BBB, etc.), including researching applicable laws and regulations, interpreting contract language, and ensuring uniform and consistent responses and integrity of complaint logs and files;
  • Review and approval of promotional pieces, regulatory filing, maintaining of advertising files, etc. to improve the overall user experience while ensuring compliance;
  • Execute and manage investigations (regulatory and internal);
  • Contract administration (in force and claim issues, including research, advise, and draft/revise applicable legal forms, review of third‐party subpoenas, levies/liens/garnishments and supervise follow up and responses);
  • Familiarity with and ability to use industry tools and resources (e.g., ACLI, NAIC), including setting up monitoring systems to identify, track, and implement legal and regulatory changes that impact companies and products;
  • Day‐to‐day management of regulatory exams;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for product administration (new product rollout, forms creation and updating, maintaining product catalog);
  • Day‐to‐day collaboration with and coaching of junior staff on routine matters where they have primary responsibility, including ability to identify and escalate more complex matters;

Position Description (Assist):

We are seeking a talented compliance analyst to assist our Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance and Legal Officer in several key areas by assisting with the day‐to‐day operations for the following functional areas:

  • Audits of Third-Party Administrators;
  • Suitability;
  • Holding company filings;
  • Drafting of Compliance report for quarterly business reviews, and ensuring overall consistency;
  • Maintaining departmental files and filing system;
  • Projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of compliance experience in the insurance industry
  • Advanced knowledge and interest in the life insurance industry
  • Demonstratable experience and knowledge of SERFF, NAIC, and I‐File systems, and other state based regulatory systems
  • Demonstratable ability to monitor, understand, and apply laws, statutes, and regulations through ability to use legal and regulatory research tools
  • Working knowledge of general software such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, internal database systems, and communication systems
  • Working knowledge of insurance product administration systems

  • Ability to perform a wide range of skill functions ranging from routine administrative tasks and requests, matters involving a midrange of complexity, and ability to train junior staff on the same
  • Knowledge of and ability to audit new policy files and procedures
