About This Position

Position Summary

Supervises Team Members, directly reports to Group Leader and promotes positive team relations and demonstrates strong leadership through example. Manage inventory control and customer delivery related processes in their assigned area in order to meet company goals in compliance with the company’s Vision, Core Values and HTGP Employee Guidebook.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures
  • Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values
  • Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures
  • Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Leads by example adherence to all safety policies and procedures
  • Enforces all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Technical:

  • Understands capacity, inventory control and JIT (Just in Time) and JIS (Just in Sequence) concepts
  • Takes appropriate initiative to eliminate supply related obstacles insuring 100% on time delivery at all times
  • Participates in safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets for assigned production area
  • Demonstrates ability to work with I.T. related systems and troubleshoot as necessary to meet department needs
  • Displays knowledge and skills necessary to perform analysis of mechanical systems and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrates an active understanding of processes and procedures, standards and methods and leads others in the same.
  • Understands process and procedures, standards and methods and be capable of working a process as needed
  • Maintains performance standards while meeting quality standards including proper containment
  • Recommends improvements of process or equipment or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Works with other department personnel as needed to meet Powertech company objectives
  • Generates and understands daily reporting as directed
  • Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently within tight work areas
  • Understands and applies correct LOTO procedures and leads others in the same

Leadership:

  • Directs multiple team members within their assigned production area
  • Validates / Conducts as needed training of new or existing Team Members
  • Ensures Team Members adhere to all HTGP policies and procedures
  • Promotes Department goals by providing guidance to all Team Members
  • Builds and sustains positive relationships with Team Members and support organizations
  • Works with Group Leader to effectively resolve conflicts and dispense discipline
  • Supports leadership direction and decisions

Education

  • High School/GED (required)
  • Associates degree (preferred)

Reporting

  • Reports to: Group Leader
  • Direct Reports: 3 - 6

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2 - 4 years relevant job related experience required.
  • Inventory control and shipping experience is required.

Software Skills Required

  • MES
  • MS-Excel
  • MS-PowerPoint
  • MS-Word
  • Ability to learn, understand and troubleshoot I.T. related supply issues on proprietary software

Other Information

  • Must be available to rotate to other shifts as needed.
  • Tier-1 Automotive (transmission) experience preferred.
  • Cross Cultural Experience is preferred
  • Position may require domestic or international travel.
  • OT required as needed
  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
