Qualifications

• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Required

• Prior work experience- Preferred, but not required

• Licenses and Certifications- Required

• State of Maryland Health Services NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech Nuclear Medicine Technologist license- Required

• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR certification- Required

Compensation

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to obtain their medical histories and explain diagnostic procedures and tests

• Determine and prepare the equipment and supplies required for stress tests

• Prepare and administer the proper dose of radiopharmaceuticals to patients by injection

• Analyze diagnostic image results

• Work under the supervision of physicians and in coordination with other medical professionals

• Create and update patient records
