About This Position
Description:
Scranton Dodge is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our fast-paced service department. We’re looking for a motivated, skilled technician who can consistently turn good hours each week and thrive in a high-volume shop environment.
What We’re Looking For- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills on diesel engines and systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production shop
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to consistently produce and manage good billable hours
- Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality repairs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy duty diesel vehicles
- Perform engine, transmission, electrical, and drivetrain repairs
- Complete work accurately and efficiently according to dealership standards
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of diesel automotive experience
- Knowledge of diesel engine components and systems
- Ability to read and interpret manuals.
- Proficient in using diagnostic software, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to move and lift heavy objects or equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- ASE Diesel Certification preferred.
- State and emissions certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
