TE PH: Technician (Pharmacy) - TE PH at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

The Willis-Knighton Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The candidate will practice under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and must possess the basic knowledge and skill applicable to clerical duties, including ability to type and familiarity with computers. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacists and other technicians in processing medication orders for all the patients of the hospital. Great attention to detail is a necessary quality. The applicant must possess a current Louisiana Board of Pharmacy certificate to practice in the state of LA or a current work certificate to practice as a technician candidate by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy. Prior hospital experience is preferred. The candidate must complete the Willis Knighton Health System’s internal didactic technician training program that has been approved by the LA Board of Pharmacy, as well as a hospital wide orientation program. The shift hours will vary but will be 8 hour days, and every other weekend. The candidate must be open to flexible scheduling based on the departmental needs.
