Curbco Inc. is offering at the Bradenton, FL location a Concrete Foreman, particularly one focused on concrete, curb construction, is responsible for supervising and coordinating concrete crews in the preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete for curbs and related structures. This involves leading crews, managing schedules, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality control throughout the project.

• Supervision and Coordination:

Leading and directing concrete crews, ensuring efficient workflow, and coordinating daily tasks and schedules.

• Safety Management:

Enforcing safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment, and addressing any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

• Quality Control:

Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.

• Material Management:

Overseeing the ordering and organization of materials needed for curb construction.

• Blueprint Interpretation:

Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate placement and installation of concrete curbs.

• Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving issues related to concrete work, materials, or personnel.

• Communication:

Effectively communicating with crew members, project managers

Specific to Curb Construction:

• Formwork:

Ensuring proper construction and alignment of forms for curbs, sidewalks, and gutters.

• Concrete Placement:

Supervising the placement of concrete, ensuring proper leveling, smoothing, and finishing.

• Finishing:

Overseeing the finishing of concrete surfaces, including the application of sealants and curing compounds.

• Expansion Joints:

Ensuring proper installation of expansion joints in concrete curbs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Significant experience in concrete construction, particularly with curbs and related structures.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of concrete materials, construction methods, and safety procedures.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Must have Concrete experience

Education: High School

Experience: 5+ years in the construction industry specializing in curbing a plus.
