EOI - Industrial Journeyperson Insulator in Calgary, Alberta at Altrad Gitxaala Joint Venture

We are seeking qualified and experienced Industrial Journeyperson Insulators to register their interest for upcoming projects in Alberta, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with Altrad Canada as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply materials including thermal and cryogenic insulation, sheet metal, or flexible jacketing to the insulation system fitted to manufactured items (piping, fittings, vessels, equipment, etc.) as directed by your supervisor and in-line with your capabilities
• Demonstrate the capability to measure piping, fittings and equipment for fabrication purposes
• Interpret and correctly read insulation fabrication drawings and specifications
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies on-site

Qualifications & Experience

• Journeyperson ticket or Red Seal preferred. Non-ticketed Journeyperson based on proof of hours may be considered
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Insulator in large new construction and maintenance projects in oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, and other similar industries
• Must be able to pass Verification of Competency Assessment
• Must comply with pre-access drug & alcohol screening and pre-employment medical assessment
• Strong knowledge of industrial insulation materials, techniques, and industry best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Demonstrate practical experience of risk management processes
• First Aid qualification is desirable
• Valid safety certifications (WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces – as applicable)
• Valid work rights status in Canada
