Line Cook at Don GS LLC – Napa, California

Scala Osteria is a southern Italian seafood focused restaurant. We are one of the busiest restaurants in downtown Napa. Our menu focuses on the freshest ingredients, highest quality products, and simplicity to showcase Neapolitan food. We are currently looking for a pasta cook to help fill the spots of both night and morning shifts. Applicants will have the opportunity to work with chefs on the line and learn constantly through the ever changing daily specials and seasonal menu.

```Duties```
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

```Experience```
- Previous experience as a Pasta Cook or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Skills:
- Knife skills: Proficiency in using knives for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Dietary department: Understanding of dietary requirements and restrictions, including knowledge of special diets such as gluten-free or vegetarian.
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination.
- Food safety: Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Kitchen organization: Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen workspace.
- Food preparation: Proficiency in preparing ingredients, measuring quantities accurately, and following recipes.
- Food service: Experience in providing excellent customer service while serving food to guests.
