Warehouse Clerk (Salary commensurate with experience) at City of North Myrtle Beach – North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Under general supervision performs manual, logistical, and administrative tasks related to inventory control, purchasing support, and warehouse operations by requisitioning, purchasing, receiving and storing waterworks, office & janitorial supplies, and automobile equipment, parts, supplies and materials procured by the Purchasing Division. Assists the purchasing division staff members and operates computer system(s) and software programs, general office, and warehouse equipment.

Education:	· High school diploma or GED
Experience:	· One (1) year warehousing/inventory experience
Certifications:	Valid driver’s license

Note:	The City retains the right to determine equivalencies. Any certifications not possessed at hire, must be obtained before the employee is removed from probation in order to continue employment with the City.

Must be physically able to operate a ladder, broom, forklift, hand jack, and a variety of automated office machines which include a computer, typewriter, calculator, copier, fax machine and related equipment. Must be physically able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves light duty most of the time, walking or standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifty pounds.
