Residential Counselor at Jobs House of Prosperity LLC – Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job's House is URGENTLY HIRING candidates for a Residential Counselor, who are trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention-(CPI) , Emergency Use of Manual Restraint-(EMUR), FBA, PSTP. The right persons' for this position will have experience working in a HIGH paced 2:1 setting such as, hospitals, residential care facilities, CRS, AFC, schools and more. Job's House will provide training to those who are hired. This is a HIGH LEVEL program that requires efficiently skilled individuals who know how to analyze problematic behaviors, who are skilled in de-escalation techniques, documentation and professional communications.

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ year of experience with working individual with severe and persistent mental Illness and chronic medical conditions (preferred)
• 2+ year experience with implementing Positive Support Strategies and/or behavior management techniques with individuals who have high behaviors (biting, hitting, kicking) (requirement)
• Strong communication and documentation skills (requirement)
• Ability to interpret behaviors.
• Experience with person-centered thinking and planning (preferred)
• Judgement and decision-making skills to handle crisis situations and day-to-day events.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working with ASD-Autism Spectrum Disorder, BPD-Bi-Polar Disorder.
• Ability to work in a group setting or 2:1 with client(s)
• Ability to maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their families
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy (recommended)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, 8 hr./shifts, weekends, Day/Evening

Pay: $20.00 per hour
