About East Lyme Ambulance:
East Lyme Ambulance, an independent EMS service proudly serving the scenic shoreline community since 1946, responds to over 2,700 calls annually and supports a year-round population of 18,000, which grows significantly during the summer months. Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency calls as directed by dispatch.
Safely load and transport patients to and from medical facilities.
Assess and treat patients using advanced medical equipment and techniques.
Communicate effectively with medical staff, firefighters, and other emergency responders to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Manage patient flow in and out of emergency vehicles.
Stay current with industry standards, laws, and protocols.
Participate in ongoing training to continuously improve skills and care delivery.
Qualifications:
EMT Certification in Connecticut
BLS CPR Certification
NIMS 100, 200, 700
EVOC/CEVO certification or equivalent
21 years or older with a valid driver’s license
A commitment to compassionate care, quick decision-making, and a team-first attitude
