Under the general supervision of the Information Security Officer, The Information Security Architect is responsible for Designing, developing, implementing, configuring and monitoring enterprise-class security infrastructure that is responsive to changes in regulations and risk. This includes independently managing the integration of advanced information security technologies into user environments, leading project implementation teams and managing project activities. The individual is expected to provide leadership and support for all security and related technical operations. This requires a diverse knowledge of complex computer systems (server, workstation, network), advanced problem solving skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship building experience, multi-tasking, and strong leadership skills.
The Information Security Architect will enhance security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions, answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members, mentoring team members and teaching improved processes. The Information Security Architect is expected to be fluent in all Blessing-owned/managed security controls.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and Vision of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and performance improvement initiatives at Blessing Hospital.

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience

Experience leading and mentoring peers preferred

Track record of risk assessment, problem identification, analytical problem solving, and issue resolution

Ability to learn quickly and multitask

Excellent written/verbal communication skills

The following certifications are required for this position or ability to obtain within one year:

Two or more of the following security certifications required: CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Healthcare Certified Information Systems Security Professional (HCISSP)

CISSP-ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architecture Professional) certification required

Two or more certifications in technical security systems utilized by Blessing (firewall, vulnerability management, etc)

Two or more certifications in process improvement methodologies such as in Yellow Belt, Change Acceleration Process, LEAN and/or similar
