Executive Assistant at Western Electricity Coordinating Council – Salt Lake City, Utah
About This Position

In this role, you will provide professional administrative support to WECC’s CEO and work closely with the senior administrative assistant in support of the Executive Team. You will work with WECC’s Assistant Corporate Secretary to plan important communications and activities to help all WECC employees connect with WECC’s Executive Team and our mission. This is a critical role with high visibility across the organization.
Time spent traveling is expected to be a minimum of 5-15% for this role, though business needs may require additional travel on occasion.
You will—- Be the primary administrative support to WECC’s CEO. In this capacity, you will:
- Prepare and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Maintain a complex executive calendar and schedule appointments and meetings.
- Coordinate and arrange travel as necessary for board meetings, committee meetings, and other industry events.
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and other critical items.
- Communicate professionally with all levels of the organization and with executives in stakeholder organizations.
- Attend meetings, summarize and track action items, prepare follow-up correspondence, provide reminders, and follow items through to completion.
- Multi-task and use senior project management skills to plan, coordinate, and facilitate the executive team’s meetings and functions. Draft and distribute correspondence to internal and external recipients, as requested.
- Manage projects as determined by the CEO and Executive Team. Complete these assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem solving, and adjusting plans.
- Receive and screen schedule requests for the CEO and other members. Use independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses.
- Maintain and support a team-oriented environment.
- An associate degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience resulting in demonstrated ability to perform major duties.
- A minimum of five years’ experience providing support to senior level executives.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a strong understanding of proper grammar and spelling.
- A high level of proficiency with general office PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and the ability to learn new applications as required.
- Excellent word processing skills.
- Self-motivation, dedication, and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work well under time constraints and maintain a high level of confidentiality with communications and information.
- A high degree of professionalism in both appearance and behavior.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency using PCs, including a working knowledge of common applications such as those in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- An understanding of, and adhere to, sound principles of cybersecurity, including protecting sensitive information, using secure passwords, and following organizational cybersecurity protocols.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $69,400–$81,600 + discretionary pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
