This role is a critical position within the actuarial team, focusing on risk adjustment and valuation across health insurance markets. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will maintain and enhance actuarial models, provide data-driven insights for financial planning, and support decision-making on accrual estimates and forecasting. You will work on dynamic and complex projects, analyzing trends across plan designs, providers, vendors, and markets, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and actionable results. This position offers the opportunity to apply technical skills and innovative methods to high-impact actuarial work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will combine analytical rigor with clear communication to drive meaningful insights and business outcomes.
- Maintain and enhance core actuarial models used for risk adjustment, forecasting, and other valuation analyses
- Develop recommendations for model design, best practices, and automation/documentation standards
- Provide data-driven insights to inform financial planning and risk adjustment accrual processes
- Analyze trends across markets, plan designs, providers, and vendors, identifying key drivers and risks
- Serve as a technical resource for internal stakeholders, supporting clear communication and informed decision-making
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring new analysts to ensure consistent process adherence
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and actuarial governance standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or actively pursuing credentialing
- 3+ years of experience in actuarial analysis, valuation, or related roles
- Strong technical aptitude with actuarial modeling and data analysis
- Experience with health insurance concepts and ACA risk adjustment preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for applying technology and data-driven methods to actuarial processes
