About This Position

About the Role: The Food and Beverage Director

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations within the organization, ensuring exceptional quality, service, and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and managing a diverse team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The F&B Director will collaborate closely with other departments to align food and beverage initiatives with overall business goals and brand standards. They will lead innovation in menu development, cost control, and vendor relationships to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the F&B Director plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and enhancing the reputation of the establishment through exemplary leadership and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of managing multiple F&B outlets or large-scale operations successfully.Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and industry best practices.Available to work and understand the work schedule is fluid based on operational needs, i.e., days, nights, weekends and holidays.Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.Experience working in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-volume food and beverage establishments.Certification from recognized industry bodies such as the Certified Food and Beverage Executive (CFBE).Proficiency with F&B management software and point-of-sale systems.Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams and driving cultural change.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive food and beverage strategies that align with the company’s vision and financial objectives.Manage daily operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met.Lead, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary team including bartenders, servers, and support staff to achieve performance targets.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to optimize profitability and control costs effectively.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality procurement and negotiate favorable terms.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional campaigns and special events that drive customer engagement and revenue.Analyze customer feedback and market trends to continuously improve offerings and service delivery.Works closely with all department directors with emphasis on Accounting, Compliance and Human Resources.Leads the F & B team to compliance of Marriott Brand Standards (BSA).Excellent communication skills with team applying both, IQ and EQ professional delivery.Provides reports as needed and requested.
