TMS / Spravato Technician (Medical Assistant Preferred)

Position Title: TMS / Spravato Technician
Department: Psychiatry / Outpatient Mental Health
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

At Evolve Psychiatry, we are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care in a supportive and professional environment. Our practice specializes in outpatient psychiatric services, including medication management, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Spravato treatment.

We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate TMS / Spravato Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) who enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a collaborative psychiatric care team.

Position Summary

The TMS / Spravato Technician is responsible for assisting providers with the daily operations of the TMS and Spravato department, monitoring patients during treatment sessions, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting overall clinic workflow. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, empathetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient mental health setting.

Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for TMS and Spravato sessions
- Assist providers with TMS mappings and treatment setup
- Monitor and support patients during TMS and Spravato treatments
- Obtain and document vital signs when required
- Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions and report concerns to providers immediately
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Educate patients on treatment expectations and office procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow within the department
- Communicate professionally with providers, administrative staff, and patients
- Assist with medication inventory and supply management
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and all office safety protocols
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical experience preferred
- Prior experience in psychiatry, neurology, behavioral health, or outpatient medical settings preferred
- Experience with TMS or Spravato is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- EMR/EHR experience required; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus
- CPR certification preferred

Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with mental health patients
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatments
- Ability to manage patient scheduling and workflow efficiently
- Comfortable monitoring patients for extended treatment sessions
