Now Hiring: Overnight Security / Shuttle Driver
Location: Cambria Hotel Omaha Downtown
Essential Responsibilities:
- Patrol lobbies, corridors, and public areas to detect unsafe conditions or inoperative safety equipment.
- Investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and other incidents.
- Act to warn or remove individuals violating legal regulations, including state and local laws.
- Provide assistance to accident victims and file necessary reports.
- Notify staff of suspicious persons and take appropriate action.
- Assist management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations.
- Escort guests to rooms and assist with luggage when needed.
- Maintain courtesy van, including washing, cleaning, fueling, and transporting guests to local areas.
- Maintain lobby and front entrance areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety (e.g., shoveling snow, hosing sidewalks, etc.).
- Deliver messages, run errands, and offer information about hotel services, local points of interest, and entertainment.
- Report to work on time and in uniform, complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, embracing O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, and Safety culture.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant computer skills.
- Comfortable in high-visibility roles within the hotel.
Education & Experience:
- Security experience preferred (Military Veteran, Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Corrections).
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Current Driver’s License required.
Hours:
- Part-time, 2 overnight shifts per week. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and respond to emergencies as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for long periods.
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
- Light work requiring lifting up to 40 pounds.
- This is a safety-sensitive position subject to additional safety requirements.
Environmental Conditions:
- Both inside and outside work environments, with some exposure to adverse conditions.
- Inside: Protection from weather but not temperature changes.
- Outside: Exposure to varying weather conditions.
