About This Position

This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM
Job Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This role performs routine maintenance services, including alignments, brake work, and air conditioning repairs, while also replacing or repairing faulty components as needed. The Mechanic conducts thorough vehicle inspections, completes test drives to verify repairs, and maintains a high standard of workmanship and customer service. Additional duties may be assigned by the store manager to support overall shop operations.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issuesPerform routine maintenance l work such as:AlignmentsBrakes A/CEtc.Repair and replace faulty parts within a vehicleTest drive vehiclesConduct vehicle inspectionsAny other duties assigned by the store manager
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience preferredState inspection certification a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.
Required Physical Abilities:Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly. Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of timeBending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM
