About This Position
Job Summary
As a Member of the Technology Solutions Team, you will be responsible for fielding tickets for Moves/Adds/Changes and Incidents that are reported from our IT and VoIP customers. This would also entail the installation and configuration of voice systems, networking equipment, servers, backup appliances, and workstations. The IT Systems/VoIP Engineer will also assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable network and server infrastructures for clients, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. The candidate will work alongside senior engineers while developing real world skills in networking, VoIP systems, and managed IT environments. Candidate is expected to primarily work out of our Noblesville Network Operations Center 8 AM-5 PM, Monday to Friday. Travel to client sites as required if remote support isn’t possible.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accepting and resolving service tickets as reported by external and internal customers, from inception to completion.
- Installing new Hardware for our customers, including but not limited to Servers, Networking Hardware, Software, and Backup Appliances.
- Installing and programming VoIP phone systems for our customers and providing follow-up technical support and training.
- Provide technical support and exceptional customer service via phone, email, or onsite visits.
- Communicate and work with our dispatchers and the technology team with ongoing issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation on all service and install ticket activities daily to reflect the progress being made.
- Ensuring a daily time entry to reflect at least 8 hours per day is completed.
- Completing on-call rotations every 3-4 weeks after the initial 90 days.
- Work with the Low Voltage department to complete projects and resolve issues as needed.
- Conducting system performance analysis and recommending improvements.
- Ensuring security and compliance best practices are followed.

Compensation
The salary for the IT Systems/VoIP Engineer role begins at $60,000 per year, with the opportunity for increased compensation based on experience, certifications, and proven technical proficiency.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of both VoIP and IT products and applications.
- Knowledge of Voice products and applications such as NEC, Metaswitch, Zultys, A+, and Net+.
- Knowledge of IT Networking platforms such as Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti.
- Knowledge of IT MSP Software/Platforms such as ConnectWise and Datto.
- Knowledge of Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, M365, etc.
- Ability to terminate and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
- Ability to work from and move a 6-12’ step ladder, including extension ladders.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to perform overhead work.
- Ability to research and apply critical thinking to a wide range of technical issues.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both from a schedule and independently.
- Motivation to continually learn and improve within the industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- A valid Indiana drivers license is required.
Education and Experience
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent required.
- College / Industry Certifications preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working in an MSP or IT service environment preferred.
