About This Position
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to drive safe & efficient performance of the G-3 Chickadee & contract maintenance teams. The role will help set a vision for strong planning & execution of preventive/predictive maintenance tasks along with reactive maintenance. Position ensures that maintenance priorities are executed based upon feedback from the EHS teams & business team leaders.
What You’ll Do
- Drive safe performance of maintenance team using behavioral based safety tools, pre-job planning, & absolute life critical policy adherence
- Ensure the team focuses on root cause of failures and works with reliability teams to implement strategies increasing MTB
- Focus on the team completing job plans, building schedules, and executing at a high level
- Track and understand tool time
- Monitor & control costs through long term solution development
What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 10+ years of experience overseeing maintenance teams, particularly in large scale petrochemical, refinery, or specialty chemical facilities.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
- Union experience
- Experience implementing updated maintenance work processes
- Demonstrated ability in building high performing teams

- Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve business center equipment reliability objectives, goals, & timeline
- Knowledge of computerized layouts, spreadsheets, & database management
- Strong communication, business, technical, analytical, & planning skills
- Ability to understand P&ID’s, PFD’s, capital estimates, T&C’s, manufacturing equipment drawings & processes
