Asphalt Raker / Equipment Operator at Imperial Restaurant Group, LLC – Lafayette, Colorado

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Raker / Equipment Operator to join our paving crew for the upcoming season. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency, job quality, and crew flexibility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in asphalt placement and operating paving-related equipment.

This position requires someone who understands production pacing, communicates effectively with the foreman and crew, and takes pride in delivering clean, professional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform asphalt raking and lute work to proper grade and finish
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, rollers, loaders, and other paving-related machinery
• Assist with asphalt patching, paving, and repair operations
• Maintain proper mat edges, transitions, and tie-ins
• Support production goals and daily jobsite targets
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite safety standards
• Work collaboratively with crew members to maintain efficiency and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years asphalt paving experience preferred
• Experience operating paving-related equipment required
• Ability to read grade and understand proper asphalt placement techniques
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor

Compensation

• Competitive pay: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour depending on experience
• Overtime opportunities during peak season
