Patient Service Representative/RCMG at Rush Copley Medical Center – Oswego, Illinois

Position Summary

Rush Pediatrics Patient Service Representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment; answers incoming phone calls, responds to general patient requests, and schedules patient appointments. Verifies insurance information and ensures appointments are scheduled properly.

40 Hours per Week: Shift times will vary, but will be during the following times: 7:45am-5:30pm (4 days a week), 10:00am-7:15pm (1 day a week), 1 Saturday per month 7:45am-12:15pm

This position will work in multiple locations: RUSH Pediatrics & Family Medicine Oswego, RUSH Pediatrics Aurora, & RUSH Pediatrics Aurora Ridge.

Position Requirements

• Education and Previous Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
• Hardware/Software Experience
• Practice management/medical billing computer programs.
• Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)
• Other Characteristics
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections)
