Ultrasound Technologist Level III - Inpatient at CaroMont Health – Gastonia, North Carolina

Job Summary: To perform various ultrasound procedures, including education and preparation of the patient and operation of ultrasound equipment. To perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures, as well as portable ultrasound exams in the operating room or special care areas within the hospital and at outpatient centers as needed.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program (or if candidate was grandfathered for certification prior to 2010). Registered in both General and Vascular Sonography (must obtain first registry {general or vascular} within 12 months of hire date and then complete the remaining registry within 18 months of hire date) by ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI. On-going participation in continuing education. Considerable skill in performing various ultrasound studies, i.e., abdominal, OB, GYN in addition to vascular. Ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/examinations are introduced. Current BLS certification required.
