Manufacturing Engineer (Chamber Project)

$85,000 – $110,000 annually (DOE)
Role Objective
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer scoped to a specific product line / chamber-based manufacturing initiative at CoreDux USA. This role is dedicated to developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes in support of the Chamber Project and partners with Engineering, Quality, and Production to drive successful program launch, ramp, and ongoing production performance. Core responsibilities mirror those of our standard Manufacturing Engineer role, with the scope and deliverables focused on the Chamber Project product family.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and document manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions specific to the Chamber Project product family.
· Design and specify fixtures, tooling, and workholding solutions to improve repeatability and reduce setup time on Chamber Project parts.
· Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for the Chamber Project including process planning, first article coordination, and production ramp-up.
· Analyze production data to identify and implement cycle-time reductions, scrap minimization, and yield improvements on the project.
· Partner with Quality Engineering on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process capability studies (Cpk/Ppk) for Chamber Project parts.
· Support CNC programmers and machinists with process optimization, tool selection, and feeds/speeds recommendations.
· Evaluate and recommend capital equipment, tooling, and technology investments to support Chamber Project capacity and capability.
· Drive lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, value stream mapping, and standard work development within the project scope.
· Ensure all processes comply with AS9100 and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
· Serve as the engineering point of contact for Chamber Project program reviews, customer meetings, and cross-functional planning.
· Maintain engineering change orders (ECOs) and process documentation in alignment with quality management system.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a precision machining or aerospace environment.
· Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes (mills, lathes, multi-axis).
· Proficient with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
· Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
· Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional process improvement and/or project-based initiatives.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Additional Information
Preferred Skills
· Prior experience supporting a dedicated product-line or new-program launch.
· Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other regulated industries.
· Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
· Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or Mazak controls.
· PLM or PDM system experience.
· Experience with statistical process control (SPC) tools.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to move throughout the shop floor and office areas regularly.
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to wear required PPE when on the production floor.
· Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other manufacturing conditions.
