Product Manager – Tax Reporting

Responsibilities

· Track and interpret U.S. and global tax regulations, translating changes into product impact and enhancements.

· Shape product direction and contribute to the tax reporting roadmap, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

· Analyze complex business and regulatory needs to define solutions (requirements, workflows, gap analysis).

· Act as a subject matter expert across cost basis and tax reporting (e.g., 1099, 1042-S, and related reporting areas).

· Partner with engineering teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality product features.

· Lead business testing efforts and support QA through successful product releases.

· Coordinate cross-functional teams during tax season to ensure accurate and timely filings.

· Support clients and internal teams with tax reporting questions, changes, and issue resolution.

· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and project teams on product enhancements and delivery timelines.

What You Bring to the Engagement

· 6–8+ years of experience in tax reporting, cost basis, or financial services technology.

· Strong knowledge of IRS reporting, withholding, and related compliance requirements.

· Experience supporting broker-dealers, custodians, or wealth management platforms.

· Familiarity with securities taxation (mutual funds, equities, fixed income, corporate actions).

· Working knowledge of FATCA and global reporting considerations.

· Understanding of agile product development and lifecycle management.

· Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
