POSITION TITLE: Marketing and Communications Coordinator

PRIMARY LOCATION: Hushabye Nursery

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time; Exempt

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Clinical; Administrative Support

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports the visibility, storytelling, and community engagement efforts of Hushabye Nursery. This role is ideal for a high-energy, early-career professional who is passionate about mission-driven work and eager to take ownership of day-to-day marketing execution. This position focuses on content creation, social media management, vendor coordination, and ensuring consistency across all communication platforms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & Communications
• Manage and execute social media content across all Hushabye platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Create engaging content including posts, stories, photos, and short-form video
• Assist with newsletters, donor communications, and marketing materials
• Support storytelling efforts that highlight families, babies, and program impact

Website Coordination
• Serve as the internal point of contact for the website contractor
• Coordinate updates to website content, events, and program information
• Ensure website reflects current messaging and branding of the organization
• Monitor basic analytics and suggest improvements as needed

Vendor & Partner Coordination
• Coordinate with external partners including PR consultants, marketing vendors, and digital platforms
• Track deliverables and ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives
• Support campaigns and promotional efforts as directed

Community Engagement Support
• Assist with events, photo days, and family engagement activities
• Capture quality content during events for social media and storytelling
• Support outreach efforts through materials and coordination

Additional Responsibilities
• Maintain the organization of marketing assets and files
• Assist with administrative marketing tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong communication and writing skills
• Creativity and ability to tell meaningful stories
• Comfort with social media platforms and basic design tools (Canva, etc.)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Passion for mission-driven work

EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
• 0–3 years of experience (internships welcome)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Workplace Environment: Work generally performed in professional offices and clinical settings. Personnel may be exposed to typical environmental conditions of a healthcare/behavioral health facility, including moderate noise, frequent interaction with clients, and possible exposure to medical hazards.
